Linux swapon Command

The Linux swapon command is used to activate swap space in a Linux system, which is essential for establishing virtual memory through memory management.

Syntax

/sbin/swapon -a [-v]
/sbin/swapon [-v] [-p priority] specialfile ...
/sbin/swapon [-s]

Parameter Description:

swapon enables swap.

Conversely, there is a command to disable swap, swapoff.
