Linux fdformat Command

The Linux fdformat command is used to perform a low-level format on a specified floppy disk drive.

When formatting a floppy disk using this command, it is best to specify devices like the following:

If a device like /dev/fd0 is used, formatting may fail if the disk inside is not a standard capacity. In such cases, users can use the setfdprm command to specify necessary parameters beforehand.
