Linux mouseconfig Command
The Linux mouseconfig command is used to configure mouse-related parameters.
mouseconfig is a mouse configuration program that can automatically set relevant parameters, or users can also utilize the provided interactive mode to manually set the mouse. This command is specific to Red Hat Linux.
Syntax
mouseconfig [--back][--emulthree][--help][--expert][--kickstart][--noprobe][--test][--device <port>][mouse type]
Parameters:
--back: Displays a Back button on the configuration screen, replacing the default Cancel button.
--device<port>: Specifies the hardware port. Available options include ttyS0, ttyS1, ttyS2, ttyS3, and orpsaux.
--emulthree: Simulates a two-button mouse as a three-button mouse.
--help: Displays help and all supported mouse types.
--expert: The program can automatically determine some settings by default. Use the --expert parameter to manually set them.
--kickstart: Automatically detects and saves all mouse settings.
--noprobe: Does not probe the mouse device.
--test: Test mode, does not change any settings.
Example
Configure the mouse in interactive mode:
