The Linux ftpcount command is used to display the number of users currently logged in via FTP.

Executing this command provides information about the current number of FTP users and the maximum limit of FTP logins.

Syntax

ftpcount

Parameter Description:

-f<configuration file>: Specifies the path to the configuration file.
-h, --help: Displays help information.

Example

ftpcount can directly query the number of users on the FTP server. You can use the following command:

ftpcount              # Query the current number of FTP users

The command outputs the following result:

$ ftpcount             # Query the current number of FTP users  
Master proftpd process 2085:  
Service class - 6 users # Currently, 6 users are logged into the server
