Java sin() Method

Java Number Class


The sin() method is used to return the sine value of a specified double parameter.

Syntax

double sin(double d)

Parameters

Return Value

Returns the sine value of the specified double parameter.

Example

public class Test{
    public static void main(String args[]){
    
        double degrees = 45.0;
        double radians = Math.toRadians(degrees);

        System.out.format("The value of pi is %.4f%n", Math.PI);
        System.out.format("The sine value of %.1f degrees is %.4f%n", degrees, Math.sin(radians));

    }
}

Compiling the above program will output:

The value of pi is 3.1416
The sine value of 45.0 degrees is 0.7071
