The FORMAT() function is used to format the display of a field.

column_name | Required. The field to be formatted. |
format | Required. The format specification. |

Below is the data from the "Websites" table:

SQL FORMAT() Example
The following SQL statement selects the name, url, and formats the date as YYYY-MM-DD from the "Websites" table:
