Highcharts Monochrome Pie Chart

Highcharts Pie Charts

The following example demonstrates a monochrome pie chart.

We have already learned the basic configuration syntax of Highcharts in previous chapters. Now, let's look at other configurations.

Configuration

Colors Configuration

Use the Highcharts.getOptions().plotOptions.pie.colors property to configure the colors of each pie.

// Set monochrome colors and set them as default for all pies
Highcharts.getOptions().plotOptions.pie.colors = (function () {
   var colors = [];
   var base = Highcharts.getOptions().colors[0];
   var i;

   for (i = 0; i < 10; i += 1) {
      // Start with a darker color and end with a brighter color
      colors.push(Highcharts.Color(base).brighten((i - 3) / 7).get());
   }
   return colors;
}());
